2023 Lancashire Fell Championships and Inter Counties selection
The 2023 Lancashire Fell Championships (Senior and Junior) will be held at the Pendle Fell Races at Barley Village on Saturday 1st April. Details of both races can be found on the FRA website on the links below:

The Lancashire fell Championships are open to all eligible athletes who qualify by :
1. Birth
2. By 9 months continuous residence in the County of Lancashire immediately prior to the race date ( 2nd of April )
It is vital that all eligible athletes Senior and Junior tick the Lancashire County box on the race entry form.
*Please note that U19 athletes will run in the Pendle Senior race*
2023 SENIOR INTER COUNTIES
The 2023 British Inter-Counties Senior Mountain Race will be held at Sedbergh (Cumbria) on Sunday 7th May.
Selection:
5 male including at least one MU23 and 5 female including at least one FU23.
The minimum age for competitors is 18 on 7th May 2023.
The Lancashire County team will comprise of the first 3 from the Selection race at Pendle Fell Race on the 1st April 2023 plus one Under 23 and one other to be chosen at the Team Manager’s discretion.
If you are unable to compete in the above race and wish to be considered for selection please contact the Team Manager giving a rationale, with results and details, for why you would like to be considered.
Selection will be confirmed on 9th April 2023.
2023 JUNIOR INTER COUNTIES
The 2023 Junior British Inter-Counties Hill & Fell Championships will be hosted by Telford AC at Church Stretton (Shropshire) on Saturday 24th June.
Selection:
3 male and 3 female from U15, U17 and U19
The Lancashire County team will comprise of the first 2 finishers in the Under 15s, Under 17s boys and girls races at the selection race at Pendle Junior Races on 1st April plus one other in each cat/age group to be chosen at the Team Managers discretion, and first 2 finishers in each cat in the U19s in the Pendle Senior race plus one other in each cat to be chosen at the Team Managers discretion.
