The Lancashire Athletic Association is the official body charged with managing County competitions in the various athletic disciplines and the Association selects teams to represent the County at Inter County events in Cross-Country, Track and Field, Fell and Road Running.

The Association is managed by a committee which is elected annually by the affiliated athletic clubs of Lancashire

North West Counties Road Relays

The 2016 North West Counties Road Relays will be held in Delamere Forest on Saturday 10th September. See the Road Running page for event information and entry details.

Top Community Award for Lancashire AA President

The Lancashire AA president, Stan Taylor, has received the British Citizen Award for his outstanding contributions to athletics in the local community. He recently received his award at the House of Lords.

Blackburn Harrier Sophie Hitchon wins Olympic Bronze

Congratulations to Blackburn’s Sophie Hitchon who finished third in the hammer with a British record throw of 74.54m
