The Lancashire Athletic Association is the official body charged with managing County competitions in the various athletic disciplines and the Association selects teams to represent the County at Inter County events in Cross-Country, Track and Field, Fell and Road Running.

The Association is managed by a committee which is elected annually by the affiliated athletic clubs of Lancashire

Top Community Award for Lancashire AA President

The Lancashire AA president, Stan Taylor, has received the British Citizen Award for his outstanding contributions to athletics in the local community. He recently received his award at the House of Lords.

Blackburn Harrier Sophie Hitchon wins Olympic Bronze

Congratulations to Blackburn’s Sophie Hitchon who finished third in the hammer with a British record throw of 74.54m

Lancashire 5 mile Championship-Results

Blackpool Wyre and Fylde provided the Mens and Ladies winners-congratulations to Luke Minns (26:03) and Emily Japp (28:08). Full results on John Schofield’s site.

Northern Athletics Survey

All athletes, coaches and officials are urged to complete the Northern Athletics  survey. This survey is  trying to establish the level of support , priorities and funding issues  relating to Northern Athletics.

Lancashire 5 mile Championship-Pictures

Entry for the Lancashire Cross-Country Championships on Saturday 7th January 2017

Entries are now being taken for the 2017 Cross-Country Championships to be held at Witton Park, Blackburn. Athletes can enter on line or by post. See the Cross-Country page for details.
